Battle of Comedies: The Kapil Sharma Show will not clash with Comedy Nights Live

Sony Entertainment Television, Kapil Sharma and the former Comedy Nights with Kapil family announced a new comedy show 'The Kapil Sharma Show' at a press conference in Mumbai.

The comedy show will be aired on Sony Entertainment Television every Saturday and Sunday at 9 pm. The 9 pm slot has ensured that 'The Kapil Sharma Show' will not clash with Comedy Nights Live and Comedy Nights Bachao which is aired at 10 pm on Colors.

At the press conference, Navjot Singh Sidhu confessed that though it will be a challenge to live up to the audience expectation, the team will give its all to match the standards. Kapil Sharma also revealed that they are not competing with Krushna Abhishek and Bharti Singh's comedy show, Comedy Nights Live as the comedian-turned-actor feels that the two shows have different formats.

The show will go on air from 23 April 2016 and the shooting will commence by the end of March. Apart from Kapil Sharma, Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda, Ali Asgar and Sumona Chakravarti, the show will also feature Suresh Menon, Rajiv Thakur and Paresh Ganatra as walk-in guests.

Weekends are going to be packed for comedy lovers as they can watch The Kapil Sharma Show and Comedy Nights back to back on Sony and Colors respectively.
