WWE Shocker! Jim 'The Anvil' Neidhart passes away at 63; wrestling world pays tribute on social media

If you're a fan of World Wrestling Entertainment then it will surely hit you.

WWE legend Jim Neidhart, aka 'The Anvil' who joined one of the top tag teams in the 1980s with the passed away at 63.

The incident has shocked everyone in the wrestling industry.

Neidhart died after hitting his head in a fall at his home, the Pasco Sheriff's Office told ESPN. According to ESPN he "succumbed to his injury."

 

Neidhart, Bret 'Hitman' Hart and manager Jimmy 'The Mouth of the South' Hart made up the Hart Foundation stable in the 1980s and 1990s and the tag team won two WWE championships.

"What a great run we had. I couldn't believe how it took off," Jimmy Hart told The Associated Press.

"But the reason why was, Neidhart was such a great character back then. Bret was more cool, the girls loved him. Neidhart and I were kind of the evil twins."

Currently, her daughter, (Natalie), performs at WWE's Raw brand under the name "Natalya."

"Neidhart last competed in WWE in 1997 but his legacy lives on today through his daughter, Natalya, who displays her father’s signature charisma and toughness every time she steps in the ring," WWE said in a press release confirming Neidhart's death.

"WWE extends its condolences to Neidhart’s family, friends and fans."

There were many condolences on social media along with his fellow retired performer Ric Flair.

 

"My Good Friend Jim Neidhart, A World Class Athlete And A Man Among Men. Rest In Peace," Flair wrote.
