Atanu Das finished fifth with a score of 683 in the archery men's individual ranking round at Rio's Sambodromo on 5 August and qualified to the Round of 32.
Das finished fifth with a combined score of 683 X, 10, 10, 10, 9 and 9 in the final round.
The 24-year-old archer, who hails from West Bengal, started his archery career at the age of 14. He moved to Tata Archery Academy in 2008, where he trained under the coach Lim Chae Wong.
Das, who is currently employed with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited in Kolkata, is the lone Indian representative in the men's archery category at the Rio Games.
