Confirmed! No release date change for Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0

It's known that Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar's upcoming films 2.0 and Padman are scheduled to hit the screens on 26 January 2018 and 13 April 2018 respectively. While 2.0 marks the Bollywood superstar's Tamil debut, Padman is the maiden production venture of his wife Twinkle Khanna, titled Mrs Funnybones Productions.

From Saturday morning onwards, a news started circulating on social media that the release date of 2.0 has been postponed from 26 January 2018 and instead Padman is being pre-poned to same date. The news caused curiosity among the fans of Akshay Kumar fans aka Akkians.

However, much to the relief of the fans, Bollywood Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted that the producer of 2.0 revealed it to him that there is no change in the release date of 2.0 and it will hit the screens on 26 January 2018 as scheduled earlier.

Similarly, Prerna Arora, who's co-producing Padman stated that Robot 2.0 will release on January 26 2018 and Padman will hit the screens as per schedule on April 13, 2018.

Directed by Shankar, 2.0 also stars legendary Tamil actor Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson whereas R Balki directorial Padman stars Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte.
