Asian Games 2018: Rahi Sarnobat clinches India's second Gold In thrilling 25 Metre Pistol Final, Manu bows out

India's first medal was a historic Gold when Rahi Sarnobat became the first Indian female shooter to win a Gold medal after two rounds of shoot-off in the women’s 25 m Pistol event at the Asian Games. Manu Bhaker failed to grab the Asiad Gold and continued her poor run at the Asiad. She got eliminated after finishing sixth.

India's ace shooter Sarnobat has won bronze in the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon. She had won her first gold medal at the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune.She won the 25 m pistol event in the ISSF World Cup in Changwon in 2013. She was India's first pistol shooter to win gold medal at the world cup. 


India's heart beats races faster in Asian Games 2018 when Saurabh Chaudhary clinched the gold medal while Abhishek Verma won the bronze medal in Men's 10m Air Pistol final.

Right after that the veteran Sanjeev Rajput has bagged the Silver medal in the Men's 50m 3 Position Rifle Event.Saurabh produced an Asian Games record score of 240.7 while Abhishek Verma won the bronze with a score of 219.3.

Meanwhile, till now India has won 11 (4 gold, 4 silver, 3 silver) medals in Asian Games 2018.

Ravi Kumar and Apurvi Chandela opened the medal tally with a bronze in 10m Air Rifle while Deepak Kumar won silver in 10m Air Rifle Men event and the 18-year old Lakshay won the silver medal in Men's Trap.

It’s a proud moment for the country as the 16-year-old Chaudhary topped the game after qualifying the round with a score of 586. While Abhishek Verma qualified and ranked 6th position with a score of 580.
