Will take LK Advani's legacy forward: Amit Shah on filing nomination from Gandhinagar

As the 2019 election is around the corner, BJP president Amit Shah is all set to file his nomination from the Gandhinagar constituency and has stated that he would take forward the legacy veteran leader Lalkrishna Advani.

I will make every effort to take Advani ji's legacy (at Gandhinagar) forward,” said Amit Shah, in the roadshow ahead of the nomination filing. Earlier, it was L.K Advnai who had been successfully contesting from the constituency since last six times and had won the 2014 election with more than 4 lakh votes.


In the roadshow of Amit Shah, various allies of the BJP were present including Shiv Sena’s Uddhav Thackeray, who stressed on the point that BJP-Sena have settled their issues.

Thackeray said at the event, “My father taught me to do everything from heart, issues that we raised were of the people, we (BJP-Shiv Sena) had differences but we settled them.We never stabbed the from back & never will.”

Amongst the dignitaries present at the ‘Vijay Sankalp Sabha’ of the BJP, Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Piyush Goyal, Ram Vilas Pasawn, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, Shiromani Akali Dal leader Parkash Singh Badal were accompanying Amit Shah to file his nomination.

Amit Shah appealed the voters of Gujarat to choose Narendra Modi as their next PM and vote for the BJP in all the 26 seats. The BJP had won all the seats in 2014 Lok Sabha polls and Gujarat became a political laboratory for the right-wing to experiment in the polls.
