Kerala Floods: CM Pinarayi Vijayan announced transfer of this amount into the bank account of every person in the relief centres

In Kerala’s natural calamity caused a huge destruction and loss of life & property. According to the Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, 417 people have e have lost their lives while 36 people are still missing due to the heavy rains and unprecedented floods.

CM has also urged people to submit the details of the loss that they have suffered during this catastrophe by logging on the official website of Kerala government and upload their details.
While addressing to media, Vijayan said that 265 deaths were reported in the torrential downpour that havoc the state for over a week from 8th August while other fatalities happened since monsoon rains began on May 29, reported IANS.


Due to the floods, at least 7,000 houses were destroyed and also 50,000 partially damaged, CM said. According to the Vijayan, a total of 8.69 lakh people were still sheltered in 2,787 relief centres in the state.

He announced to transferred Rs 10,000 into the bank account of every person in the relief centres.
