The National Capital saw a sharp increase in stalking cases in 2015, with Delhi reporting 1,124 cases of stalking, up from 541 in 2014.
Data from the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) has revealed that Maharashtra topped the list of states in terms of stalking cases, with 1,339 cases in 2015.
Crimes against women in Delhi jumped to 17,104 in 2015, up from 15,265 in 2014.
Delhi has reported 9,104 sexual offences against women, the highest among the union territories.
These included 5,367 cases of molestation (4,179 in 2014, 3,345 in 2013) and 2,199 rape cases, up from 2,096 in 2014.

According to NCRB, most victims of sexual assault were in the age group of 18-30. In 90% of the cases, the accused were known to the victims.
