Amidst Pulwama terrorist attack, Pakistan violates ceasefire in Poonch, Balakot area; Indian forces retaliate

As India reels under the grief of Pulwama terrorist attack which killed 40 CRPF personnel, Pakistan has violated ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch sector today.

After heavy condemnation of Pakistan in the direct involvement of the Pulwama blast, the neighboring country has again resorted to violence by ceasefire violation at the Line of Control.


Home Minister Rajnath Singh, who is in Srinagar to monitor the security situations, briefed the media saying “In the wake of suicide attack on CRPF convoy yesterday, it has been decided that the civilian movement will be stopped for sometime when a large convoy of security forces passes through an area. Civilians will face a little difficulty,we apologise for it.”

India earlier had withdrawn the status of ‘Most Favored Nation’ give to Pakistan and thereafter, issued demarche to the High Commissioner of the Pakistan.
