A ten-year-old boy was allegedly beaten up by a group of Trinamool Congress workers for allegedly tearing a TMC poster in

South 24 Parganas

of West Bengal on 26 April. The boy was tied to a tree and then abandoned in a field after being brutally beaten up.

The boy's parents found him in a nearby field and immediately registered a case in the Bhangar police station. However, the TMC workers have denied all the allegations and have said that they would investigate the matter further.

In a similar incident, TMC workers allegedly barged into the house of a CPI (M) worker and attacked his three-year old daughter a day before the fourth phase of the West Bengal Assembly elections.
