Pankaj Advani bears the brunt as Twitter mocks 'Narendra Modi best PM: UNESCO' hoax

No, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not been declared the best PM in the world by UNESCO.

The UNESCO does a number of important things, but rating heads of state across the world is not one of them. However, not many seemed to know this, as the viral message "Congratulations @narendramodi sir for being declared the best PM in the world by @UNESCO" began to make its rounds on social media this week.

Many took to Twitter to congratulate PM Modi over the 'announcement'.

India's most successful cueist, Pankaj Advani, also fell prey to the hoax.

Little did the 15-time World Billiards and Snooker champion know that his post would make him the butt of jokes on Twitter.

However, the ace cueist shot down all his haters with one well-timed response. Advani, who is the recepient of the Arjuna Award, the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna as well as the Padma Shri (2009), had this to say:

While Advani may have gotten the last laugh here, Twitter wasn't so kind to the others who had contributed in making the 'Modi Best PM: UNESCO' message a viral phenomenon.
