Mumbai: Man sexually assaults 12-year-old boy, molests other kids in locality

A shocking news was reported from Mumbai where a 12-year-old son of a domestic helper was sexually assaulted by a 27-year-old man at his resident in Parsi colony on the eve of Holi.

The incident came to light when the boy narrated his ordeal to the residents of society that he was raped on the day of Holi at the man’s residence. On hearing this, locals immediately informed the police who swung into the action and arrested the man under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and has been sent to judicial custody.

During the investigation, police found through CCTV camera that the accused is taking the minor to his building. When they further investigated they found that the minor is the son of a domestic helper who resides in the slum behind the colony. Police then went up to his parents and took them to the police station to file an FIR against the man.

During further probe police also found that the accused also tried to sexually molest other children in the locality. To file the complaint several residents of the society accompanied the parents of the victim to show moral support to them.
