World Radio Day: 5 RJs who impressed us on silver screen

RJs magical voices have always cast a pleasant spell on us but a few radio jockeys have tried their hands in tinsel town and were able to woo the audience with their acting prowess.

Here is a list of five iconic Radio Jockeys who have a gift of gab.

Ayushmann Khurrana

Ayshmann who is popularly known for the movies like 'Vicky Donor', Bareilly Ki Barfi' and 'Nautanki Saala' started his career in the year 2007 as a radio jockey at BIG FM, Delhi.

He hosted the show called Big Chai – Maan Na Maan, Main Tera Ayushmann. Later he moved on to become a Video Jockey. Since then there was no looking back. He has not only stood out as a versatile actor but also as a singer.

 

Manish Paul

From stand-up comedy, television host- presenter to acting, Paul has done everything that was offered on the platter. Starting his career as an RJ at Mumbai Radio City with a show named 'Kasakai Mumbai' he went forward and tried his mettle in acting.Movies like 'Mickey Virus Mickey' and 'Tere Bin Laden 2' gained him a lot of popularity as an actor.

Nikhil Chinapa

Most of us know, who Nikhil Chinapa is. But most of us do not know that this coolest VJ started his career as an RJ. 44-year-old has donned several hats, from being a video jockey, a disc jockey, a festival curator he has tried his hands in the different field. He started his career as a Radio Jockey in Bengaluru and then MTV scene happened and today there is no looking back.

 

RJ Malishka

Well-known radio personality from Red FM 93.5 Mumbai. He is rightly remembered for her show titled "Morning No 1 with Malishka".

It was after she trained actress Vidya Balan for her role in 2006 Bollywood film Lage Raho Munnabhai she came into limelight.

Then after the RJ turn actress, Malishka entered the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, appeared in Bigg Boss many seasons as a guest and was also started in Tumhari Sulu starring Vidya Balan.

Aparshakti Khurana

Just like his brother Ayushmann, he too worked in Big FM, Delhi. Following his brothers footsteps he made his acting debut with 2016 biographical sports drama Dangal. He even won the award 'The most promising male actor' for Dangal.

Presently he is hosting a show titled 'You Have Been Warned'.
