Certain new developments are now taking place in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET).
According to a latest report, the Supreme Court (SC) on Friday has refused to stay NEET ordinance passed by the Centre in tandem with states, for admission to MBBS and BDS courses.
The apex court has said that the matter should be mentioned before the Chief Justice of India (CJI) bench in July.
The court has further stated that there's no need for any interim order. The government has not denied the NEET order, but just given exemption to some states. "It will create confusion if we intervene right now," said the SC, reported ANI in a tweet.
Health activist Anand Rai had filed a petition in the apex court, challenging the ordinance, which deferred the exam by a year.
