MHT CET 2019: Counselling process for BE, BTech begins today; check admission criteria

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra has started MHT CET 2019 counseling process for the courses like B.Tech, B.E., B.Pharma, Pharma D, and BHMCT from June 24th, 2019. Candidates who have qualified the MHT CET exam are eligible to appear for the counseling process.

To lock the admission seats for the specific course, candidates will have to visit the official website of MHT CET at cetcell.mahacet.org.


Earlier, candidates who have registered through the SAAR portal will have to apply again as a new candidate. The last date to complete the registration process is June 30, 2019. While the document verification process will begin from June 25 and will conclude on 1st July 2019.

"In view of numerous complaints received from the aspiring candidates regarding the technical problems in the registration process and many candidates could not register for the admission process, by considering grievances, quantum of candidates deprived from registration activity due to technical errors, the Admission Regulating Authority has decided to cancel and reschedule the entire Registration/CAP process which was notified vide notification No TED 1219/C.R.197/B. Arch-Admission Notice1/2019/1689, dated 16/06/2019."

This year, 4,13,248 candidates applied for MHT CET 2019 exam and out of the total, 3,92,345 students appered for the exam.

Admission criteria for MHT CET 2019:

Admission to BE/BTech

Students who have obtained the qualifuing marks in MHT CTE 2019 or JEE Main paper 1 are eligible to seek admission.

Admission to BPharm, Pharm D

An applicant must have Obtained Non Zero Positive Score in NEET or Non Zero score in MHT CET 2019 (PCB or PCM).

Admission to BHMCT course

Those aspirants have obtained Non Zero Score in MAH- B HMCT-CET 2019 are eligible for admission process.

Notice on fee refund:

According to the official notification, "Candidates who have registered for for B.E./ B.Tech. /B.Arch/ B.Pharm/Pharm. D. and B.HMCT by paying the application fee successfully during 17th June to 21st June 2019 are hereby informed that the application fees paid by such candidates will be refunded back within 2 weeks to the account from where the amount is debited."
