ICSE, ISC Exam 2020: CISCE postpones class 10, 12 board exams due to coronavirus outbreak

Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has postponed the ICSE, ISC exam 2020 amid coronavirus fear. The board examinations have been postponed till March 31, 2020.

However, the new schedule for the examination will be notified soon on the official website of CISCE. The decision was taken after the HRD Ministry’s notice and the postponement of CBSE Board examination 2020, parents and students of CISCE board had also raised the concern about the revision of the ISC 2020 and ICSE 2020 exam.


 

Earlier, CISCE officials had announced that paper would not be postponed. Now, the examinations which were scheduled from March 19 to March 31 have been cancelled in lieu of the threat of Coronavirus.

According to the timetable, on 19 March, the ISC Sociology exam was scheduled at 2 pm which has been postponed now. Meanwhile, 8 papers for ISC and 6 papers for ICSE 2020 are remaining and were supposed to be held till March 31.

This year, CISCE started its ISC exam (Class 12) on February 3 while ICSE (Class 10) exam was started on February 27.

Besides board exams, the HRD ministry has ordered to extends all the central university examinations. The ministry has also proposed rescheduling the JEE Main 2020 examination for a later date, based on the revised schedule of CBSE Board Exams 2020.
