Jasprit Bumrah, team India’s main man with the ball, was once again at his utmost best as he took two wickets in five overs while giving away only 25 runs in the 2nd warm up match against Bangladesh at Sophai Gardens in Cardiff on Tuesday.

Eventhough the likes of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal, who took three wickets each, took away all the attention, it was Jasprit Bumrah who created the base for India’s 95 runs win.

Bumrah dismissed opener Soumya Sarkar on the fourth ball of the ninth over and soon after that stunned Shakib Al Hasan with a piercing yorker. Shakib Al Hasan seemed utterly clueless as Jasprit Bumrah’s delivery rocketed passed him to shatter on to the stumps.

At the initial stage chasing the target of 360 didn’t look problmatic for the Bangladeshi’s, as there opening partnership of Das and Sarkar looked set, until Jasprit Bumrah’s 2/25 turned the table.

A strong 120 runs partnership which stood between Liton Das and Mushfiqur did offer a slight hope for the Bangladesh cricket team for a while but they were only able to put up 264 in 49.3 overs, as spin duo of Kuldeep and Chahal distoryed the opposition.

Earlier KL Rahul’s excellent innings of 108 runs and Dhoni’s magnificient hitting where he scored 113 of just 78 balls made India look quite comfortable.

India posted 359/7 in their final warm up match before the main tournament. India will begin their campaign against South Africa on June 5 in Southampton.
