New Zealand cricketer Jimmy Neesham has asked the grieving India fan to resell their tickets for the World Cup final on the ICC’s official platform.

Many Indian fan had booked the tickets to Sunday’s World Cup final to see Virat Kohli and his men emerge victorious.

However, the men in blue were knocked out of the World Cup in the semi final, the fans have a choice between watching the final between England and New Zealand or selling the tickets.

In a humble request, the all rounder has asked the Indian fans to spare a thought for fans of the host England and New Zealand.

"Dear Indian cricket fans. If you don't want to come to the final anymore then please be kind and resell your tickets via the official platform. I know it's tempting to try to make a large profit but please give all genuine cricket fans a chance to go, not just the wealthy," Neesham wrote on his Twitter handle.

Nevertheless, the ICC has come out with a return policy where fans can get a full refund if they return their tickets.
