Netflix series Cricket Fever: Mumbai Indians trailer out! Green room politics, Sachin Tendulkar's motivation ahead of IPL

The trailer of Netflix’s upcoming documentary series Cricket Fever on Indian Premier League franchise Mumbai Indians is out and cricket fans in India are going berserk. The film begins with the visuals of 2017 IPL finale which was won by Mumbai Indians. The film also shows some never seen moments of Mumbai Indians dressing room and their players.

The trailer also highlights captain Rohit Sharma talking about green room politics and legendary Sachin Tendulkar giving some motivation to the young players. Netflix India documentary Cricket Fever: Mumbai Indians is set to release on March 1, 2019. The eight part documentary series will showcase the journey of the team in the Indian Premier League.


 

The trailer of the series has been released right before the Indian Premier League season 12 starts. The schedule for 2019 edition of Indian Premier League has been announced by the organisers. Defending champions Chennai Super Kings will play Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore in the opener on March 23 in Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium.

However, the dates announced are only for first seventeen matches, where each team will play a minimum of 4 matches each while Delhi and Bangalore will play five matches. Every team will play two away and two home matches with Delhi playing three home matches and Bangalore playing three away games.

Mumbai Indians have their first match on March 24 against Delhi Capitals and will look to bring back the trophy to the city. Mumbai Indians finished fifth on the IPL points table last year as they lost 8 matches out of the 14 they played. Mumbai Indians is also one of the most successful teams in the Indian Premier League as they have won the coveted trophy thrice.
