Indian pacer Mohammed Shami lands in another controversy as a woman from the United Kingdom accused him of harassment. The woman has taken to social media to accuse Mohammed Shami of harassment and also shared the screenshot of it.
The woman named Sophia wrote a Tweet accusing Mohammed Shami of harassment and shared a screenshot of her Instagram inbox. Sophia wrote, “Anyone wanna tell me why some random cricket player with 1.4m followers keep messaging me.”
The screenshot displays an Instagram direct message from Shami’s official Instagram handle. He can be seen wishing the lady 'Good afternoon'.
Mohammed Shami was recently caught into a controversy when his wife Hasin Jahan accused him of domestic violence and match-fixing. Shami was acquitted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) of match-fixing charges and was handed a fresh contract later.
Mohammed Shami is looking in great touch in the ongoing World Cup as he took three four-wicket-hauls and a hat-trick to become the second Indian bowler in the history of World Cup to take a hat-trick after Chetan Sharma did it in 1987.
Shami is not playing in the semi-final match against New Zealand as Indian skipper Virat Kohli chose to play just two seamers.
