Mohammed Shami was recently caught into a controversy when his wife Hasin Jahan accused him of domestic violence and match-fixing. Shami was acquitted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) of match-fixing charges and was handed a fresh contract later.
Mohammed Shami is looking in great touch in the ongoing World Cup as he took three four-wicket-hauls and a hat-trick to become the second Indian bowler in the history of World Cup to take a hat-trick after Chetan Sharma did it in 1987.
Shami is not playing in the semi-final match against New Zealand as Indian skipper Virat Kohli chose to play just two seamers.
