Shivam Dube got his first T20I call-up for the India vs Bangladesh series, scheduled to start from Sunday at Arun Jaitley stadium in New Delhi. Shivam Dube earned his spot in the T20I squad after his impressive show in domestic cricket.

Ahead of the match against Bangladesh, a 20 second clip of Dube’s net session, left fans ecstatic. In the video Shivam Dube was seen going all out, where he displayed his high batlift while playing some shots. His batlift was similar to that of former cricketer Yuvraj Singh and fans perceived that Dude can be the next Yuvi.

The latter can also bowl spin, something which Yuvraj Singh used to do on part time basis.

With fans already impressed with Dube’s batting in the net sessions. It still remains to be seen if the southpaw can get his first T20 cap, when India host Bangladesh today.

Dube averages 48.19 in first class cricket. He has cumulated 1,012 runs, which includes two hundreds and seven fifties. He also has a magnificent strike-rate and can be useful in the shortest format.

The all-rounder had hit five back to back sixes during a Ranji match in 2018, which helped him to earn his place in the Royal Challengers Bangalore. He was bought by the IPL franchise for Rs 5 crore.
