To assess the state of the Digital Process Automation (DPA) market and analyze what the vendors have to offer, Forrester evaluated the strengths and weaknesses of top DPA vendors.
The report evaluates 12 DPA vendors against 31 criteria, which are grouped into three high-level buckets- current offering, strategy and market presence.

The Forrester report recognizes Newgen as having evolved toward a full-featured provider of process automation solutions. The report also notes Newgen's emphasis on CX as it offers very strong mobile support.
According to the report, "Newgen's offering is strong across the board for both deep, complex processes and, increasingly, for wide deployment of applications". The company's investment in a low-code environment to meet the next generation of process needs is also noted by the report. Newgen has scored the highest possible rating for the following criteria: collaborative modeling, smart forms and user experience, dynamic case management, document support, and process and flow design.
