With Tiger Zinda Hai and Tubelight, Salman Khan has officially blocked two of the biggest festive release dates of 2017 i.e. Eid and Christmas.
It is likely that both films featuring the superstar will enjoy a solo holiday release which will give them a chance to set the Box Office on fire. Given the hype, the two films in question have already become few of the most-awaited films of 2017.
Tubelight will be directed by Kabir Khan whereas Tiger Zinda Hai will be helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar and interestingly, both directors recently delivered Rs 300 crore grossers with Salman Khan.
After Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Tubelight is Salman Khan's third association with director Kabir Khan. The film is set against the backdrop of the 1962 Sino - Indian war. It also starred Chinese actress Zhu Zhu and is essentially a human story with a political backdrop. The shooting of Tubelight is currently underway at Manali and the makers are expected to finish the work on the film by February 2017.
Tiger Zinda Hai:
Tiger Zinda Hai, the sequel to the 2012 blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger, marks Salman's second collaboration with Ali Abbas Zafar after Sultan. The film, also starring Katrina Kaif will take off from the point where the first part ended. Expected to go on floors in March 2017, major portions of the action thriller will be shot abroad.
