While the Sansui Stardust Awards 2016 was held in December, last year, it got aired on Colors last night. And like any other Bollywood event, it was full of glamour and a lot of energy.

Apart from the winners and the spectacular star performances, there were several other highlights in the show. Have a look:

1. One of the major highlights was Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's felicitation ceremony. When the former Miss World's name was called on stage, she walked up to receive the award from veteran actor Rekha. She thanked Rekha in her speech while referring to her as 'Maa'.

2. Sonam Kapoor took over the stage with her Prem Ratan Dhan Payo performance. And, when she started grooving to her Khoobsurat's Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai, her cousin Arjun Kapoor, who was sitting in the front row, immediately joined her on the stage. With their impromptu jigs they managed to provide some kickass entertainment.

3. Actor Sooraj Pancholi, who bagged the award for the best debutant male for Hero, got emotional while giving his speech. Pancholi said that his mother had always told him to answer naysayers with great work.

4. Another surprising moment was when megastar Amitabh Bachchan was called up on stage to receive his award for Best Actor of the year. He was actually given the award for Shamitabh but, in the speech, he mentioned and thanked the team of Piku.

5. Ranveer Singh, owing to his super energetic persona, made sure that all eyes remained on him. He wasn't hosting, he didn't even get any award. Yet, the actor managed to be on the stage for the most of the night. His chemistry with Anil Kapoor (who won Best Supporting Actor award for Dil Dhadakne Do) made for a visual treat there.
