Karan Johar’s most talked about film Student of The Year 2 starring Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria hit the theatres on Friday with fairly good numbers. After seven years of Student of The Year which starred Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra, Karan launched a new set of students but the love the first batch got one doubt the second batch are also going to get the same love.

The film has earned 12 crores on its first day of release. Tiger who has a huge fan following managed to attract the audience with some new in her acting. It is for the first time he moved out his comfort zone that is action and moved to Karan Johar’s romantic drama.

As the film managed to collect fairly good amount but the film didn't go down well with the critics as they didn't like the concept of the movie ascompare to previous SOTY. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his twitter handle to announce the collection of the film.

The film was helmed by Punit Malhotra also starred Aditya Seal as a student against Tiger, Gul Panag as Coach Kuljeet, Samir Soni as Principal and Youtube sensation Harsh Beniwal as Puggi among others. We also saw Alia Bhatt and Will Smith in a special appearance.
