Panipat Box Office Collection Day 3: Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Kriti Sanon starrer at steady pace; collects 18 crores

Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon starrer period drama Panipat is running on a steady pace at box office as compare to Pati Patni Aur Woh which is hitting the headlines. On the first day, the film collected 4.12 crores while on second the collection was 5.78 crore with overall collection to 9.90 crores.

Talking about the third day, the amount is expected to reach 18 crores overall. With this film, Lagaan director Ashutosh Gowariker made his comeback in the industry after the failure of Mohenjo Daro in 2016. The film revolves around the third battle of Panipat fought between Marathas and Ahmad Shah Abdali, King of Afghanistan. The battle took place on 14th January in 1761.

In the film, Arjun portrays the role of Sadashiv Rao while Sanjay as Ahmad Shah Abdali and Kriti as Parvati Bai, the second wife of Sadashiv. The film also includes Zeenat Aman, Mohnish Bahl, Kunal Kapoor and Padmini Kolhapure. The film garnered mix response both from critics as well as the audience. Many compared Arjun with Ranveer Singh and said that he didn't perform well while Kriti was compared to Deepika Padukone. Many complained that the film is very long i.e of complete 3 hours.
