National Sports Day: Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar are winners from Saand Ki Aankh

The makers of Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar star Saand Ki Aankh have shared a new glimpse of leading ladies from their film. The film is actually based on the lives of two elderly sharpshooters from the village of Haryana, Prakashi Tomar and Chandro Tomar.

In the still shared by the makers, we see Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar who are playing leading roles are smiling seeing each other after getting certificates.

 

Noticeably, Prakashi Tomar and Chadro Tomar won more than 30 national championships after the age of 65. They are considered the oldest sharpshooters of India. Taapsee is playing the role of Prakashi Tomar, while Bhumi Pednekar is playing Chandro Tomar.

On National Sports Day, Taapsee shared a picture of her childhood in which she can be seen smiling at the camera after winning a sports competition at the top position. With this Taapsee also shared two stills of her from the film.

 

The film Saand Ki Aankh is slated to release on Diwali 2019 and it will clash with Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde, Kriti Kharbanda starrer Housefull 4. The film has made under the banner of Anurag Kashyap's production house.
