Mardaani 2 Box Office Collection Day 4: CAA protests slow down Rani Mukerji’s starrer

Yash Raj Films Mardaani 2 starring Rani Mukerji, Vishal Jethwa is running at a steady pace. The film which released on 13th December is still at a steady pace and the reason is the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). The film opened its kitty with Rs 3.80 crore and then went on to collect Rs 6.65 crore on Saturday and 7.80 on Sunday and the overall collection goes up to 18.25.

Talking about the 4th day it is expected that the collection might witness a dip due to the ongoing protest across the country. The box-office collection of Rani’s starrer might reach up to 20 crores.


 

This film records Rani’s biggest hit in recent times because her last two films Hichki collected 15.35 crore and Mardaani Rs 14.46 crores in their first three days.

At present, the film is competing with Hollywood’s Jumanji: The next Level starring Dwayne Johnson, Nick Jonas among others.

 

Mardaani 2 is the second instalment of Mardaani released in 2014 directed by Pradeep Sarkar. The film deals with the issue related to crime against women. In this Vishal plays the gruesome villain who first rapes and then kills the women.
