During Eid, Shah Rukh Khan had confirmed that he is in talks with Hrithik Roshan and Rakesh Roshan to avert the Republic Day clash between his film Raees and the Roshans' Kaabil. In fact, speculations were rife about Kaabil backing out of the battle at the Box Office.
However, Rakesh Roshan cleared the air surrounding the clash and said, "My film will release on Republic Day weekend as planned. I don't know about them. Farhan (Akhtar) is not in town. So maybe after he returns, we'll know."
Roshan, however, did confirm that he met Shah Rukh Khan recently and the two discussed their past work.
"We were just sitting and chatting like old times. It was good to catch up as we have done many films together - I gave Shah Rukh a break in King Uncle, then Koylaa and Karan Arjun," said Rakesh Roshan.
Set against the backdrop of smuggling, Raees also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mahira Khan in the lead.
