Judwaa 2: Not fair to compare Varun Dhawan with Salman Khan, says Sajid Nadiadwala

The sequel to Salman Khan's Judwaa has been in the news since a while. Though initially there were plans to make the sequel with Salman Khan, things did not quite work out.

Finally, Sajid Nadiadwala, has decided to go ahead with the sequel, directed by David Dhawan, with Varun Dhawan in lead. The producer-turned-director, while interacting with the Hindustan Times, revealed,

"I was toying with the idea of making a sequel since the last four to five years. But people need to know that it isn't exactly the same premise. I had a very successful working relationship with David and his elder son, Rohit, who was also working with me in Dishoom. So I thought it would be nice to have Varun in Judwaa 2."

People are bound to compare Varun Dhawan's performance in Judwaa 2 with that of Salman Khan's in the prequel; however producer Sajid Nadiadwala feels that it won't be fair to compare the two actors.

"Any film on twins will by default be called judwaa, but that doesn't mean we compare actors. Times have changed and though Judwaa was highly entertaining, we have tried to upgrade this one too. The heroine is being finalised, and the name will be announced soon," he said.
