Akshaye Khanna skips the trailer launch of Mom

Akshaye was not present for the first event of his film

Akshaye Khanna is going to be next seen in Sridevi’s upcoming film Mom. The actor plays a crucial role in the film; however he did not attend the trailer launch of the film. A source says, “Considering it is a story revolving around three main characters of Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sridevi and Akshaye Khanna, he was supposed to be part of the trailer launch. He has been doing selected films and his role too is important one. Especially because both Pakistani actors Sajal Ali, who plays Sridevi’s daughter and Adnan Siddiqui who plays Sridevi's husband cannot come to India to promote the film. ”

 Akshaye is not too media savvy, moreover it is said that the makers are planning to have different marketing plans for him. And of course, Akshaye having lost his father Vinod Khanna recently, might not be in the mood to attend events.

During the trailer launch Sridevi was all praises for her co-star Nawaz and said that she admires him a lot and could not recognise him on the sets due to his look in the film.

When Sridevi was asked about her daughter Jhanvi’s debut, she chose not to reveal anything about it and preferred talking about her film. Both Jhanvi and Shri's younger daughter, Khushi were present to support Sridevi at the launch.
