Akshay Kumar explains why agreed to come on board for Jolly LLB 2

It has been widely speculated that Bollywood actor, Akshay Kumar has come on board forJolly LLB 2 and will start shooting for the film from August 2016.

The film, which is said to be India's first judiciary franchise, will reportedly revolve around yet another high profile case and Akshay will be seen as a Kanpur-based lawyer. While these were mere speculations till date, Akshay Kumar in an interview with Rajeev Masand confirmed that he has come on board for Jolly LLB 2 and is eagerly waiting for the film to go on floors.

Talking about why signed up for the film, he said,

"Jolly LLB 2 is a nice script and I quite liked it. I really liked the directors' (Subhash Kapoor) work and I have never played a lawyer's role ever. It is something that I am going to enjoy."

The movie will be shot in Lucknow, Kashmir, and Varanasi. Produced by Fox Star Studios, the film will hit the big screen in the first half of 2017.
