These days Bollywood star Ranveer Singh is surely in his golden time with his back to back successful films. From the last year 2018, he is just giving back to back hit films, it started with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat, then Rohit Shetty's Simmba, and later followed by Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy in 2019. Now the actor is already lined up with some brilliant projects like 83, a film based on 1983 world cup winning team and a period drama film Takht directed by Karan Johar.
He already has started preparation for 83 and soon he will jump into Takht as well but we have heard that Ranveer has another amazing offer. According to a report of Bollywood Hungama, the Raazi fame director Meghna Gulzar is planning to make a film on Field Marshal Sam Mankeshaw and for that project, she has approached Ranveer Singh.
Currently, the director is busy in her project with Deepika Padukone called Chappak, a biopic on acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. Reports are that the director is planning to direct another biopic after competing Chappak and the film will be produced under Ronnie Screwala. However, reports are also that the actor is not going to do the film as he has another interesting role.
Bollywood Hungama quoted an insider of the industry, “A source from the industry revealed that Ranveer Singh, however, has not signed it and may not do the film.”
Talking about Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, then he was the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of field marshal. He was one of the greatest military commanders in the independent history of India. He was also the chief of Army Staff of Indian Army during the Indo-Pak war of 1971, when Pakistan surrendered after losing the war against India.
