Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s ‘83 is the most awaited and anticipated film of this year due to several reasons such as its a biopic of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev, the ensemble cast and also the film will narrate the historic moment of winning the World Cup. The film helmed by Kabir Khan once said that Deepika is the best choice to essay the role of Romi and since then fans are looking forward to it.

Recently, gorgeous actress Deepika took to her Instagram handle to release her first look as Romi Dev. Deepika can be seen wearing a black turtleneck top with a creme-coloured skirt and sporting bob-cut look with a charming smile on her face. This look takes us back to the days when Romi was young. In the image, Deepika is seen lovingly gazing at her husband Ranveer Singh who has also pulled off Kapil Dev’s look perfectly.

Not just this, the actress also spills beans on her small but crucial role in the film, she wrote, “To be able to play a small part in a film that captures one of the most iconic moments in sporting history has been an absolute honour. I’ve seen very closely the role a wife plays in the success of her husband’s professional and personal aspirations in my mother and 83 for me in many ways is an ode to every woman who puts her husband’s dream before her own.”
