Why did Krushna Abhishek bring up Devdas and Bajirao Mastani when asked about Kapil Sharma?

Popular television comedian, Kapil Sharma is gearing up for the premiere of his new show, The Kapil Sharma Show.

Kapil - whose show premieres in April - will soon go head-to-head with his contemporary, Krushna Abhishek, who has two shows, Comedy Nights Live and Comedy Nights Bachao, under his belt.

When Kapil was asked about Krushna, during the launch of The Kapil Sharma Show, the comedian dismissed reports of a fierce rivalry. A calm and composed Kapil said he did not have time to watch other shows as his work kept him occupied.

When Krushna was asked to comment about the rivalry, he said he was looking forward to competing with Kapil's show. Krushna said:

"God willing, let Kapil's show get the ratings. I would say that both shows get good ratings. Kapil's show will be a healthy competition, he will also enjoy it because we will give them tough competition, like we are currently giving, and we will also enjoy that he would give us healthy competition. What happens because of competition is that both will do good work."

Krushna, who is currently hosting Comedy Nights Live on Colors, added:

"Only we can give competition to Kapil, and only he can give it to us. No one else has been born for it - tell me if such people are there in television... Though I can't say about the future. It's a good thing that both of us are giving a tough fight to each other."
