Sumona Chakravarti is not getting married. Here's how she laughed off the rumours!

She entertained us by being the victim of Kapil Sharma's mean jokes on the popular TV show Comedy Nights With Kapil. However, as she geared up for her new show, The Kapil Show, on Sony Television, Sumona Chakravarti found herself in the middle of a rumour-fest.

Speculations were rife about Sumona's marriage to one of her 'old fat' friends. And as soon as the wishes and blessings from all sides started pouring in, Sumona decided to explain it all.

In a recent interview to an online portal, the Barfi actor laughed it off and denied the news. She also mentioned that similar speculations had reared their head earlier, but nothing of the sort is happening. She said:

"I'm not marrying anyone. He's not an old fat man, he's actually a very dear friend, but that's about it. I have no marriage plans with anybody. This is not the first time this has happened. Similar news had come up last year too. I meet him only once a year on Durga Pooja!"
