WhatsApp allows users to share documents in chat-box

After audio, videos, contact, location, and pictures, now WhatsApp allows users to send documents over chat. The update with the latest changes is now available for Android and iPhone users.

The Facebook-owned company has listed the latest update as 'WhatsApp v2.12.453' on Google Playstore. It shows a 'Document' section under attachments. In the first phase, users can avail this feature to share PDF files via chat. However, the word file feature will also be introduced in the future.

Of course, the other person also needs to have an updated version of the instant-messaging app to receive the documents.

More features have been introduced in the latest update of the instant-messaging app. Users will also get over a 100 new emojis, multi-language support, Google Drive Backup and Android Marshmallow license support.

The updated version for iPhone users is named 'WhatsApp for iOS v2.12.4'. It also allows users to share multimedia files direct from other cloud storage apps like Dropbox, Google Drive, or Microsoft OneDrive.

In bunch of new features for the iOS, users can also choose background colours of their chatbox and zoom in videos while viewing them.
