Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Susanta Nanda, who is quite active on his social media account and often treats his followers with some amazing wildlife video, has shared a good news with an adorable video.

The momentous news is that the Central Government’s ‘Project Cheetah’ is succeeding in India, as one of the cheetahs named ‘Siyaya’, that was translocated to the country from Namibia, has given birth to four adorable cubs at the Kuno Natinal Park.

The IFS officer shared the clip with the caption, “Some heartening pictures coming from Kuno NP. Cheetah Siyaya gave birth to 4 cute chitoos.”

The video clip shows four adorable cubs resting and waiting for their mama.

The cheetahs were translocated to India in September last year as part of the Central Government's ambitious initiative to expand the cheetah meta-population and reintroduce them to the country.

These big cats are the only carnivores that went extinct in the country due to overhunting and habitat loss.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the first batch of eight cheetahs at Kuno in Madhya Pradesh on his 72nd birthday on September 17, 2022. In the second batch, 12 cheetahs were released into the national park in February last year.

Sadly, one of the cheetahs, Sasha, had died due to a kidney-related ailment on Monday.

However, the state’s forest department is giving special attention to these big cats and monitoring their every movement.
