ICSE & ISC 2016 result on cisce.org: Fate of Class 10 and 12 students to be decided today

ISCE & ISC results 2016: Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) will declare the results for Class 10 and Class 12 on their official website at 3 pm today.

Fate of more 71,141 students -- 38,659 boys and 32,482 girls-- will be decided today.

ISC 2016 exam was held between 8 February to 8 April, 2016.

Accoridng to a notice on CISCE website, "The Council will announce the results at 3PM on 6 May."

Earlier, the results were supposed to be declared in mid-May. However, the council preponed the ISCE & ISC 2016 results date to 6 May, 2016.

The results are being declared earlier than ususal due Live Ink Character Recognition (LICR) technology. For the first time, the council used LICR technology to help in quick accumulation of results.

"This significantly reduced the time required for compilation of results as the system automatically totals the marks awarded by the Examiners and also applies the question-paper rubrics, hence eliminating any possibility of manual totalling and manual rubric application errors," stated the notice.

According to projections of the year 2016, 98.67% Class X candidates to clear the examinations. The pass percentage for boys and girls shall reach 97.55 and 98.50, respectively.
