
Ace director, Shankar, who has delivered many blockbusters in the past like Gentleman, Kadhalan, Indian, Anniyan, Sivaji, Enthiran and I, is busy now shooting the major portions of 2.0, the sequel to his 2010 blockbuster Enthiran.
The film is touted to be the most expensive Indian film ever made. The makers have confirmed that it is a Rs 350 crore project. The film stars Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson in the lead and also marks the Tamil debut of Akshay Kumar who will play the antagonist in the film.

Shankar, who recently shot a football match sequence in Delhi featuring Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar, said he was impressed with Akshay's commitment and discipline. He took to Facebook to speak about the actor:

The 2.0 team will soon visit Morocco to shoot the action sequences between Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar. Produced by Subaskaran Allirajah, chairman and founder of Lyca Mobile/Productions, 2.0 will release simultaneously in both Tamil and Hindi in 2017.
