Enthiran 2.0: Batman Vs Superman and Transformers stunt directors team up for Shankar's Robot sequel

Hollywood action directors Aaron Crippen of Batman Vs Superman fame and Kenny Bates - the man behind Transformers and Die Hard - are teaming up for the upcoming Tamil-Hindi-Telugu science fiction film 2.0 - or Enthiran 2 (Robot 2).

The Shankar directorial stars Rajnikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in the lead.

Kenny Bates and Aaron Crippen previously teamed up in 2011 for Transformers: Dark Of The Moon. The VFX of the film will be helmed by John Hughes, of Life Of Pi fame, while AR Rahman has been roped in for the music of the much-anticipated sci-fi flick.

A massive fight sequence between Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar will be shot on a Rs 20 crore set. The expensive set has been constructed in Poonamalle, located in West Chennai. Tamil action director Stunt Silva is in charge of training local stuntmen, who will in turn be supervised by the Hollywood action directors. This action sequence will be shot in the first week of March.

The film, produced by Subaskaran Allirajah, chairman and founder of Lyca Productions, will simultaneously release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
