Yoga is for old people; won't win you Olympic medals: The Great Khali

It seems like The Great Khali isn't afraid of the 'anti-national' tag as he has begged to differ on yoga's health benefits.

In an interview with Aaj Tak, the seven-foot one-inch World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star was quoted as saying, "Jo yoga hain, woh old bande ka kaam hain." In other words, yoga is meant for old people.

The wrestler also pointed out that yoga does not win you Olympic medals or make great wrestlers, saying if practicing yoga won you gold medals and made you The Great Khali, then everyone would just sit on a bed and do that.

But at the same time, he quickly clarified that he doesn't consider yoga as useless.

As expected, Twitter had much to say about Khali's declaration. One Twitter user wrote, "Mr Khali.. Aap yoga like nahi karte.. Aapki marzi.. But Aap ko koi adhikar nahi.. Kisi ka apmaan karne ka."

Another said, "Yoga does not get you a Olympic Medal says Wrestler KHALI. Now it is time to label KHALI as ANT-NATIONAL & ISI AGENT."

Incidentally, during his recent stay at the Bigg Boss House, Khali was seen doing Pranayama and even guiding his fellow housemates.
