Four-year-old Saanvi Aggarwal from Chandigarh has secured the second position with four points in the U-5 category at the 32nd National U-7 Open Girls Chess Championship.

The young champ Saanvi while speaking to ANI, said, "My parents taught me and made me practice on the computer. With time I learnt all levels and started winning them."

Meanwhile, Saanvi's coach Nitin Rathore believes that she has a lot of potentials to win Asian and World titles in future.

"She has a lot of potentials to win Asian and World titles in the future. She perfectly knows all the attacking moves in chess," he said.

The tournament was organised by the United Karnataka Chess Association under the aegis of the All India Chess Federation in Karnataka's Tumkur from July 16-24.

After securing a place in U-5 category, Saanvi has made herself eligible for the Asian Youth U-6 Chess Championship, which is going to place in 2019.

In May this year, the young chess player had bagged the U-7 Chandigarh Chess Championship to make her place in the national tournament.
