Udkwe Kaypirin - a Nigerian national arrested for duping 200 women - came to India on a one-month medical visa in 2013. But he never went back and kept staying in Ghaziabad. When his passport expired in 2017 is moved to a house in Delhi's Uttam Nagar.

He was here on a well-planned mission to dupe women through a well-crafted modus Operandi.

Friendship request and then token of friendship
Udkwe would send friendship requests to women on Facebook. Gradually, he would insist on sending expensive gifts to them. Now, when the story of the expensive gifts was sold to a woman, he would call her claiming to be a customs officer. He would ask the woman to pay 'customs fees' for the release of the expensive gifts stuck at the airport. So, he would get a hefty amount as 'customs fees' for goods that never existed in the first place.

Fake marriage proposals
According to a report in The Times of India, in some cases, he also proposed to their victims for marriage and claimed that he was stranded at an airport and needed money.

Five years, 200 women
The report claims that Police have obtained data of at least 200 women from the gadgets seized from the accused. "It seems the accused had duped all these women in the last five years or tried to do so. He claimed that he would send all the money thus collected to his family in Nigeria," Cyber cell inspector Sumit Kumar told The Times of India.

Complaint with cyber cell
The matter came to the light after a woman submitted a complaint with the cyber cell of Ghaziabad. "I have been duped of Rs 35 lakh by the accused," she claims.
