Mercury to rise in Rajasthan, Haryana; snowfall likely in Kashmir, check full forecast here

The temperature in Northwest India is going to rise in the next four to five days, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said on February 15.

However, the weather department has also predicted a light to moderate rainfall and snowfall over Western Himalaya region during February 18 to 20. That also means that the mercury is also expected to fall slightly due to the cold winds coming from Himalayan region to North India after the snowfall.


Minimum Temperature In Last 24 Hours

The night temperature in parts of Northwest and adjoining Central and East India was in the range of 8-10 degrees Celsius.

Weather Forecast

Light to moderate rainfall and snowfall in isolated parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit Baltistan and Muzaffarabad is expected from February 15 to 17. This is due to the new feeble Western Disturbance, which was seen as a trough in middle tropospheric westerlies.

A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect the Western Himalaya region from February 18. Under its influence light snowfall are likely in parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit Baltistan and Muzaffarabad.

Strong Winds:

Under the influence of the Western Disturbance, strong winds with speed of 20-30 kmph are very likely in parts of Northwest India during the next 24 hours.

Minimum Temperature Forecast

The weather department predicted that the night temperature may increase by 3-5 degrees Celsius in parts of Northwest and East India during the next 4-5 days.

The minimum temperature in Central India and Maharashtra is expected to be rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius during the next 5 days.

Rajasthan Weather

Most regions of the state are predicted to be dry. Nevertheless, gusts of wind ranging from 35-40 kmph are probable.

Jaipur Weather

The minimum and maximum temperature of the capital city in the last 24 hours was 13.8 and 28.6 respectively. Tomorrow’s day and night temperature of the city is expected between 33 to 14 degrees Celsius.

Rainfall Warning

As of now, there is no rainfall warning.
