Weather: Rainfall, snowfall expected in Kashmir, Ladakh; dry weather in Rajasthan
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light rainfall and snowfall in isolated parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit Baltistan and Muzaffarabad from February 14 to 18. This is due to the new feeble Western Disturbance, which was seen as a trough in middle tropospheric westerlies.
“A fresh feeble Western Disturbance seen as a trough in middle tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 km above mean sea level roughly along Long. 68°E to the north of Lat. 35°N,” IMD said.
Due to the Western Disturbance strong surface winds of 20-40 kmph are likely over many parts of Northwest India during February 14-15.
Minimum and Maximum Temperature Forecast
The minimum temperature in Northwest India is expected to rise gradually by 3-5 degrees Celsius in next 3-4 days.
The maximum temperature in parts of North Karnataka coast is expected to be in the range of 35-38 degrees Celsius for the next 2-3 days.
Minimum and Maximum Temperature of last 24 hours
The IMD recorded the minimum temperature of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh between the range of 7-10 degrees Celsius, 0-2 degrees Celsius below normal.
The maximum temperature was recorded in the range of 35-38 degrees Celsius in parts of North Karnataka coast, 5-7degrees Celsius above normal.
Rajasthan Weather
Dry weather recorded in most parts of the state in the last 24 hours.
Most regions of the state are predicted to be dry. Nevertheless, gusts of wind ranging from 35-40 kmph are probable.
Rainfall Warning
As of now, the IMD has issued no rainfall warning for Rajasthan.
Jaipur Weather
The minimum and maximum temperature of the capital city in the last 24 hours was 12.4 and 25.2 respectively. The day and night temperature of the city is expected between 26 to 14 degrees Celsius.
