J&K: Days after Pulwama attack, army officer killed in a blast in Rajouri sector while defusing explosive device

After deadly attack in Kashmir’s Pulwama which killed around 40 CRPF personnel, another blast has taken place in Rajaouri sector, in which one Army officer has lost his life.

While an investigation was on along the Line of Control, the explosion took place wherein an IED was planted by terrorists.

News agency ANI tweeted, “The Major-rank army officer was killed while defusing an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) which had been planted by terrorists. The officer is from the Corps of Engineers. The IED was planted 1.5 kms inside the Line of Control in the Naushera sector, Rajouri district, in J&K.”
