Delhi Assembly Elections 2020: BJP announces list of nominees for 57 out of 70 seats

The BJP has set forth its first list of candidates for the upcoming Delhi Assembly polls 2020, scheduled to take place on 8th February.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Delhi chief Manoj Tiwari put out a list of nominees for 57 out of 70 seats.


Kapil Mishra will be contesting from Model Town, Vijender Gupta will be competing from Rohini, Rakha Gupta from Shalimar Bagh and Suman Kumar Gupta will battle from Chandni Chowk.

The BJP has put out 11 SC candidates and four women. The party has given a ticket to three Congress defectors Sanjay Singh, Surendra Singh Bittu and SC Vats.

The Bharatiya Janata Party has also disposed Aam Aadmi Party turncoat Anil Vajpayee. He has been fielded from Gandhinagar.

Interestingly, the BJP has withheld the name of the leader who will be fighting against Arvind Kejriwal in New Delhi constituency.

Polls for 70 seats in Delhi Assembly will see a contest between ruling AAP, BJP and Congress. The voting will take place on February and counting will be done on February 11.
