Delhi: As lockdown 4.0 begins, take a look at what's allowed and what's not in national capital

The fourth phase of nationwide lockdown starts today, the centre put out a notice in this regard on Sunday. Extending the curb for two more weeks, till 31st May. However, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said during his address to the nation, lockdown 4.0 will be completely different from the previous ones.

Shops can reopen in the national capital and buses, taxis and autos can run with limited passengers, Delhi Chief Minister said today, further adding that the lockdown would be stretched out until 31st May. Market will open on an odd-even basis but shops selling essential commodities can operate daily.


What’s allowed:

* Taxis, cabs with two passengers, maxicabs with four passengers

* Drivers will be responsible for disinfecting before every ride

* Cars can run with two passengers

* Buses will be allowed with 20 passengers only

* Offices will be allowed

* Car pooling and sharing will not be allowed

* Two wheelers cannot have pillion riders

* All markets to open on an odd-even basis

* All standalone shops can open

* Construction activities will be allowed but no workers from outside

* Weddings can be held with 50 people

* Funerals can be held with 20 people only

* Hotels, cinemas, shopping malls, gyms, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres, bars, auditoriums, assembly halls will stay shut

* Social, political, sports, entertainment, academic, cultural and religious gatherings won't be permitted

* Religious places of worship will remain shut

* Religious gatherings will not be permitted

* Barbers, spas and salons will stay closed for now

* 7 pm to 7 am curfew will remain, only essential services will be permitted in other times

* Those below 10, above 65, pregnant women and people who have other health conditions will not be allowed to leave home

* Restaurants can reopen but only for home delivery

* Sports complex and stadiums can open, but no crowds will be permitted

* Autorickshaws, e-rickshaws, cycle rickshaws will be permitted with one passenger
